Product Liability Experience
- Represented a large discount retailer in a national class action that was brought against manufacturers, importers, distributors, and retailers of window mini-blinds seeking an injunction against the sale of corded mini-blinds and monetary damages. The claim was based upon an alleged conspiracy among the defendant members of the mini-blind industry to mislead the public as to the alleged dangers of corded mini-blinds. We filed a motion to dismiss the complaint and the Circuit Court granted the motion, dismissing our client. Alsup v. Dolgencorp, Circuit Court of Madison County, Illinois.
